Employment/Independent Contracting Opportunities
Scioto Hair Artists Group (SHAG) offers both commission and “booth rent” or independent contracting. We are happy to take on interns. From intern to hourly wage, once you finish school, you will be full time (35 hours or more) and will be 50% commission as soon as you average a very achievable goal week. After another achievable goal week, you will make 60% commission and will have one week paid vacation after one year. You are eligible to booth rent or graduate to an independent contractor after you have made enough profit to reimburse SHAG for your own advertising.
If you are interested in independent contracting, SHAG offers you the opportunity to make the most profit as you run your own business. Our rent is the same for EVERYONE -- and we have the lowest rent in the area!! We also believe that rent increases should stay at a minimum. We also offer:
- No rent shall be due for six weeks of maternity leave. That’s right, six weeks free while you take care of your new baby!!
- One week free rent for a death in your immediate family: father, mother, sister, brother, or child.
We want you to be able to focus on your business and make the most of your own business. Cleaning responsibilities are SHAG's, you concentrate on the hair, the inventory, education (though many of us like to go to classes together, if you would like), and retail. We just ask that you chip in with laundry on a daily basis, but you won’t have to take your towels home, at the end of the day, all you have to do is turn off your curling iron!! Seriously, if you want to make the most most money, and have the fewest responsibilities, and enjoy your personal life a little more, SHAG is where you want to end up!!
If you want help to market your own business, SHAG will also help you grow your clientele and come up with the marketing tools to do so. We have experience with cross-marketing campaigns, offer incentives to entice new clients, in addition to advertising!! We love to come up with ways to develop your business. It’s one of the things that we consider be the challenge of our business –- keeping fresh with marketing incentives!!
